SEEC is a full-day camp offered to students entering 4th -8th grade. It is staffed and organized by Shenendehowa teachers, all of whom bring excitement, enthusiasm, and expertise to the camp. SEEC offers your child the opportunity to be involved in interesting workshops, as well as a variety of group projects and team-building activities. Whether your child is shy, outgoing, or somewhere in-between, SEEC’s innovative program allows he or she to excel. SEEC is sure to be the “talk” of your child’s summer!

The morning at SEEC is devoted to exciting and challenging workshops. This year we are offering a variety of workshops, which will meet the interests of all students. Students will select four of the many workshops offered, for each week they attend. Your child will choose two in the morning and a different two in the afternoon. Workshop descriptions are attached. Students will choose the workshops they prefer on the first day of camp each week. We will work with all students to try to make sure they get the workshops they prefer. Some workshops will be blocked together (Workshop I & II together in the morning and Workshop III & IV together in the afternoon) because they require more time. There will be an asterisk (*) in the workshop descriptions to identify these double blockworkshops.
The afternoon at SEEC begins with two additional workshops. The third and fourth workshops are a way to diversify your child’s day, ensuring that they take part in a workshop that will interest them. This year we added this fourth workshop to the afternoon program. Whether your child prefers to be inside or outside in the afternoon, they will have a variety of activities to choose from during this time period.
The end of the afternoon at SEEC is devoted to team building and team competitions. Your child will be placed on a team where he or she will work on a variety of thrilling activities. Past activities have included: tie-dying your team colors, creating a team flag, performing team challenges, water balloon races, scavenger hunts, water relays and the exciting “Minute–To-Win-It” competition!
Adventure and great fun await your child at SEEC. Please visit our website for more information. You may find us at Shen’s website at www.shenet.org and look under Shen Summer Adventures-SEEC.
SEEC will provide the majority of the tools and supplies needed. Meals will not be provided, so students should bring a bagged lunch and snacks with them. It is mandatory that your child bring a water bottle with them as the summer heat often causes dehydration. Regular camp hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm. For more information you may view Shen’s website at www.shenet.org – Community Education- Shen Summer Adventures-SEEC. Additional information, photos, and copies of all forms will be available there.
