Ready, Set, Go!!! Middle School Transition
This course is offered to students entering 6th grade in September. Students will become familiar with new friends, faces, and places within the middle school community as they learn about life in the Middle School. They will learn skills that are essential to a sixth-grader’s success. These skills will make the transition from Elementary school to Middle School not only smooth, but exciting. Students will tour buildings, become familiar with the layout of the school, learn to use lockers, meet important people, get to know students from various elementary schools, participate in team building activities, learn to read a schedule, and much more. The course is taught by 6th grade teachers and guidance counselors who are very familiar with the questions and concerns raised by the transitioning student. *SEEC strongly encourages this course to students entering 6th grade!*
Chefs’ Corner
If you like cooking (even if you don’t) this course is for you. The famous SEEC chefs will teach you some great recipes and provide “tips” for success in the kitchen. Whether you already know your way around a kitchen or you’ve never held a spatula, get ready for some fun. In no time you’ll be slicin’ and dicin’, shakin’ and bakin’, and hoppin’ and a choppin’!
Cupcake Wars… the battle begins!!!
Cupcake Wars comes to SEEC camp!!! Put your creativity and baking skills to the test as you create the world’s coolest cupcakes. In this workshop you will use your own creativity to make a variety of different themed cupcakes. In the end, campers will compete in the Ultimate Cupcake Challenge. If you have ever wondered if you have what it “bakes” to win, than this workshop takes the cake!!!
R/C Cars and More!!!
Do you feel the need for speed? In the class you will learn how to drive and fly a variety of remote control (R/C) cars, helicopters and planes. Take on the challenge of mastering the controls of an R/C car. Once you have mastered the controls, we will design and build a challenging race course to put your talents to the test. Then it is off to, the air! Learn to master the controls and away you go! This is sure to be an adrenaline rush!!!

Movie Making and Digital Video !!!
Have you ever thought about being a director, producer, influencer or YouTuber? This workshop puts you right behind the camera and in the editing booth to make motion pictures come to life. Use the popular online video software WeVideo, to record, edit and produce high-quality, 4K, professional grade videos. Throughout the week you will participate in video-making competitions and challenges, as well as producing videos that can be shared electronically with friends and family! Come be the next great director in this fun and entertaining new workshop!!!
Crafty Creations--"Mixed Media and More!"
Do you like to make projects, use your hands to create things, and get messy with your creativity? This course is designed for students to enjoy a variety of hands on, creative, fun-filled crafts. This workshop is sure to bring out the creative talents in everyone. Previous crafts have included bead/jewelry making creating mosaics, adventures in art around the world, print and paper making, fashion design, plus a wide range of diverse arts and crafts!
Rocketeering
Back by popular demand! Have you ever wanted to build your own rocket? This course is designed as an introduction to the principles of rocketry. You will build, decorate, and launch your own model rocket (Estes). You will also learn about the basic principles of rockets and flight. We will then have a group launch day to see your rockets fly!!!
Adventures in Sports
Do you like to play sports? In this class students will learn the rules for a variety of traditional and non-traditional sporting events. There will be a variety of indoor and outdoor sports to choose from (weather permitting). Do you like wiffle ball, kick ball, dodge ball, tether ball, hand ball and corn hole? This year's new sports are Kan Jam, Spikeball and Frisbee Golf!!! This course is about having fun!
American Red Cross Babysitting Course
Are you ready to become a certified baby sitter? In this course you will learn babysitting responsibilities, first aid, emergency procedures, diapering, feeding, and much more. This will be taught by a registered instructor and upon completion students will receive an “American Red Cross Babysitting Certificate”. Students must be at least 11 years old to be eligible (as determined by ARC). Upon completion you will receive a Red Cross Babysitting Certification Card and the required individual workbook and DVD (also required by ARC).
Countertop Chemistry
Do you like chemistry? This course is about having fun while learning about chemistry. We will perform exciting hands-on chemical experiments. We will create chemical reactions, learn about acid and bases, grow crystals, make slime, turn a gummy bear into light, just to name a few. Put on your goggles and your lab coats and get ready for a good time!!!
Backyard Biology
Do you like to explore nature? In this class you will become field biologists and explore the outside world around you. Through hands-on investigations, you will observe, collect and explore animals and plants found in nature. We will be using microscopes, scientific investigative procedures and techniques to explore and understand the environment around us. Bring out the scientist in you this summer!
Recreational Games
Do you enjoy playing table sports? Put your skills to the test at ping pong, Foosball, air hockey and soft-tip darts. Each day we will teach you the basic rules and skills needed to master these challenging games. Let the competition begin to see who will be the SEEC Camp champion!
Crime Scene Investigations (CSI) / Forensic Science
Have you ever wanted to solve a crime? Learn the importance of physical evidence in solving crimes, elements of fingerprinting, how to perform numerous tests, collect evidence and solve the crime!!! Your final test will be to collect evidence from an actual crime scene and arrest the culprit.
Extreme Camping and Hiking Skills... Bring Out The Survivor In You! (Double Block)
Have you ever wondered if you would be able to survive in the most extreme conditions? We will teach you how to find food and water, build shelters, build a fire, perform emergency first aid, protect yourself from the elements and find your way home. You will build your own personalized survival kit and will learn orienteering with a compass. You will learn all the skills necessary to survive and put them to the test in a real life “Survival Challenge.
Archeology
Have you ever wanted to be an Archeologist? Have you ever wanted to learn how to use a metal detector to find treasures beneath the ground? This workshop includes learning about the tools and procedures Archaeologists use such as: working as a team to excavate a dig site, identifying artifacts and re-building objects to discover what they originally looked like. Learn how to excavate fossils like a real paleontologist! It's time to have fun in the sun and rediscover our past!
Fun with Physics!
Explore the engineer in you though this hands-on, fun-filled workshop. Each day you will explore physics through a wide range of projects and activities that will help you understand the world around you. Some projects may include making catapults, soda bottle rockets, soda bottle cars, boat making and much more!!! Come to SEEC and see physics come to life!!!

DIY Spa Day
Are you looking to pamper yourself and those around you? In this workshop you will create your own spa bath bombs, natural soap, lip gloss, face masks, face & body scrubs, and make homemade candles using a variety of different recipes and essential oils. Create them for yourself or give them in a gift basket for someone special in your life. Share your spa recipes and ideas with your family and friends. It’s time for some self-care, aromatherapy and relaxation!
