The morning at SEEC is devoted to exciting and challenging workshops. This year we are offering a variety of workshops which will meet the interests of all students. Students will select three of the many workshops offered, for each week they attend. Workshop descriptions are attached. Students will choose the workshops they want on the first day of camp each week. We will work with all students to try to make sure they get the workshops they want.
The afternoon at SEEC begins with a third workshop (new to SEEC this year). This Third workshop is a way to diversify your child's day, ensuring that they get the workshop that will interest them. This year we will have activities that include anything from our wide list of workshops that have been popular every year. The third workshop also gives campers the chance to try new things and have great new experiences. Whether your child prefers to be inside or outside in the afternoon, you will have a variety of activities to choose from during this time period.
The second half of the afternoon at SEEC is devoted to team building and team competitions. Your child will be placed on a team where he or she will work on a variety of new thrilling activities. Past activities have included: tie-dying your team colors, creating a team flag, performing team challenges, water balloon races, scavenger hunts, relays, obstacle courses, and the SEEC-A-THON Challenge! Get ready for the exciting "Minute-To-Win-It" competition! Check out the video above that shows some of the fun activities that campers have been involved with in the past! We hope you child will join us for some of this summer fun in 2017!!!
SEEC will provide the majority of the tools and supplies needed. Meals will not be provided, so students should bring a bagged lunch and snacks with them. It is mandatory that your child bring a water bottle with them as the summer heat often causes dehydration. Students should wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and sneakers for team-building activities. It is also recommended that students bring sunscreen for when they are outside. Regular camp hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm and they should be picked up and dropped off at the Acadia Middle School Cafeteria.
